Why I Love This Recipe
There are many reasons, but the first reason is that you can prepare them in less than 5 minutes. The second reason is that I like fluffy eggs, so whenever I want to eat perfectly fluffy eggs, this recipe allows me to prepare them quickly (it’s my favorite breakfast for a busy routine).
The third reason is that it’s healthy food; for young people, I recommend eating at least one egg daily, so that’s my third reason.
Scrambled Eggs Recipe
Ingredients
- Cooking spray
- 8 large eggs
- Salt, to taste
Instructions For Microwave Scrambled Eggs
- Prepare Your Bowl
First, apply the cooking spray to grease a large glass bowl. It’ll make it easier to add the eggs and avoid the bottom of the pan sticking, which makes clean-up easier.
- Crack the Eggs
Start with one bowl, dip one egg, and whisk well in a small ramekin dish. It also helps you get rid of such shells within your dish and check for any defects in the egg. After placing the egg in the ramekin, transfer it over to the bowl prepared.
- Whisk Away
To fully incorporate the yolk and white portion, vigorously whisk or fork the egg. It’ll assist in providing the much-needed light and fluffy texture to your final dish. Please do this for the remaining egg, and make sure to whisk the batter continuously each time you add an egg so that it does not settle on the bottom.
- Microwave Cooking
Put the bowl in the microwave and fry the eggs for 30 seconds. Following this, remove the bowl from the steamer, then beat them well. This is important, especially in ensuring that the uncooked portions are spread evenly on the plate.
- Continue Cooking
Put the bowl back in the microwave, heat it for another 30 seconds, and stir before reheating. Watch your eggs; they will require approximately 3 minutes until undercooked.
- Season to Taste
Lastly, you need to add spices with the help of salt and ground black pepper, depending on the preferred quantity. Again, mix the seasoning gently to allow it to spread evenly right from the bottom of the bowl.
- Serve and Enjoy
Enjoy your fluffy microwave scrambled eggs, which are out and prepared for you to enjoy! Serve them as a bite-size or have them with toast, avocado, or any other side of your choice for breakfast.
How To Prepare Scrambled Eggs In The Microwave
- Beat the eggs thoroughly. When you want the best taste and the most tender and fluffy texture, beat the egg yolks and whip the scrambled mixture until you do not see any large part of egg white or yolk.
- For scrambling, choose a microwave-safe serving dish or a small ramekin, enough to mix the scrambled eggs without a fuss. You don’t need it to be too shallow, or you can use a regular microwave-safe mug.
- Sprinkle the black pepper after you cook the food so that your microwaved eggs do not come out to be slightly gray.
- Over the bowl, place a foil with a slight hole in it. Then, after half of the cooking time, remove it to trap moisture and prevent the eggs from drying.
- 30-second intervals. Depending on the doneness you prefer, cook, check, and stir the eggs every 30 seconds. Some people like their scrambled eggs slightly wet and sticky, while others like them well done. Most preferable, especially if you’re fond of them burning, check after every 30 seconds to have them right from your desired preferences.

How to Prepare Microwave Poached Eggs
Preparing poached eggs can be tricky, but I’ll explain it in simple steps because it’s not impossible.
First, add some inches of water to a microwave-safe bowl or mug. Then, crack your egg into this bowl, making a small hole in the yolk. You can use a toothpick to do this; it helps the steam escape while cooking.
After the time is up, take a look at the egg whites. If they haven’t changed to a white and firm look yet and are still clear, add another 30 seconds to the cooking time.
Once the yolk sets, carefully pour the water from the bowl and gently place the poached egg onto your plate. Enjoy your perfectly poached egg—it’s easy and quick to make!
How to Use a Microwave to Cook Hard-Boiled Eggs
It’s a bit risky (like waiting for a blast in the microwave 😀), but it’s quick and super easy. Don’t worry. I will tell you a safe method, but you must remember to follow the same process.
First, you need to fill a microwave-safe bowl with water and then place it in the microwave; the water will take about 4 minutes to heat up fully.
Next, carefully remove the eggshell and avoid cracking issues.
After that, put the egg into the bowl, cover it with a plate, and cook it at half power for 4 minutes. Let me clarify that I have mentioned this for just one egg; if you want to cook more than one egg, you will need to add an extra minute for each egg.
After the process, don’t take the egg out immediately. You must keep the egg in hot water for 1 minute before placing it in cold water. After that, your eggs will be ready to peel.
Easy Way to Peel a Microwave Egg
You noted in my previous point that we will add the egg to cold water. Is this the easiest peeling method? Let me explain the complete process to you; I am sure many people don’t know about it.
- Put the egg in the ice bath for a couple of minutes.
- Wait until the egg becomes sufficiently cool, then, with the lightest touch, twice strike this surface of the egg on a tricky surface.
- Then, gradually peel, starting with the bigger end of the egg, as it contains an air pocket.
- You can roll the egg gently between your palms to loosen the membrane at the base of the shell, making it easier to peel.
Can You Store Microwave Scrambled Eggs?
The simple answer to your question is yes. When in the process of cooking, permit the eggs to cool to room temperature. Then, chill them in an airtight container for 2 hours. Do you know their shelf life? They will keep well in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days, though some might even store for 5 days.
When you want to retake them later, warm them in a microwave on medium heat for 30 seconds or until hot. If they appear dry (dull), pour a little milk or cream before reheating to moisten them up again.
Another option is to freeze them; just make sure they cool down before putting them in zipper bags to prevent food spoilage. It should be possible to freeze them for about 2 months, and before reheating the dish, it should be allowed to thaw in a refrigerator for a whole night.
If you know how to microwave scrambled eggs, you should also know its storing process.
